Biography

Ana Molina is a geotechnical engineer and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec with more than 15 years of experience, including eight years supporting underground hard-rock mining operations. She specializes in ground control and rock mechanics: excavation stability, ground support design, geotechnical risk management, seismic monitoring and mine planning support.

At the Éléonore mine, first with Goldcorp and then Newmont, and most recently as geotechnical team leader, she assessed stope and excavation stability, contributed to the Ground Control Management Program (GCMP), ran Map3D analyses for stope sequencing and monitored seismic activity with the IMS system. She also helped implement the ground support corrosion monitoring program.

Ana holds a professional master’s degree and a graduate diploma (D.E.S.S.) in mineral engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from Universidad de Oriente (Venezuela), and is completing an international graduate diploma in advanced mining geotechnics (CAMIPER, Peru). Committed to health and safety, she served for more than eight years as an active member of the surface emergency response team.
